Weekend of 5.19
May 21
Friday, 19th – Junior Prom
My Pictures
When I made that sign that said going to the best party all year would be priceless, I didn’t know for sure that it would be the best party. But after going to the prom, I must say that it’s a very true statement. The prom was held at the Lantana. When I walked in, I felt the familiarity of the place, as it was where one of my cousins got married. The Lantana has 5-6 separate dance rooms, and ours was like Norwandy or something like that. The dance floor was smaller than I thought it was going to be, but it was large enough for the 110 people that bought tickets. I saw my friends all dressed up…it was so great. I couldn’t stop smiling at my own appearance in a tux (and no, I’m not a narcissist).
We spent about an hour or so waiting for people to show up, and they did, slowly. We ate at around 8, and as soon as it hit 9, we were dancing for the rest of the night. I was iffy about dancing at first, but eventually I went and followed the crowd. I started slow, but by time the DJ went with “Lean Wit It” and “Laffy Taffy”, I was REALLY into it. I slow danced with two people, and spent most of my time around 10 or so people. Overall, it was fun, and everybody that didn’t go REALLY missed out. Everyone that went will tell you that; trust me!
Saturday, 20th – Cousin’s birthday party
More like a gathering. It was relatively boring. I got a hamburger, some rice and jerk chicken (I LOVE jerk chicken), and then some cake. It began to get cold later. It was okay overall, I guess, but I was still feeling sleepy from prom, ya know?
Sunday, 21st – Church, nothing else.
So that’s it for this weekend. Enjoy the new layout.
