The teeth have been successfully plucked from my mouth. There were like 5 doctors or so in the room for the anesthesia preparation, and my chair was just elevating in the air, then going down in a laying position…my gosh I felt like I was in the hospital. A whole bunch of “feeling okay?” from every corner. The doctor decided to make a joke…he asked me if I was feeling anything (after he put the needle in). I said no, and he said “That’s because we didn’t put anything in you yet”. I laughed at that. Anyway, he then did put the medicine in my, and I slowly began to feel it, then I fell unconscious. The weird part is that you never know when the actual unconsciousness hits you.

Since I was on anesthesia, I wasn’t able to watch my teeth being removed. But after I regained consciousness, I had gauze pads in my mouth and I was feeling pain. The most significant thing, though, was that I was very drowsy. I had to be helped back to the car and into the house. From there I was given a milkshake, some pudding, my first antibiotics pill, and my first Tylenol pill. My braces made taking the gauze pads out difficult. I used the rinse they gave me and also spit without it. Let’s just say that spitting became a bloody sight.

I got a little queasy later, so I went to sleep about twice or three times. Now I’m pretty much okay, minus the fact that the left side of my face is a little swollen.
