So I had an interesting few minutes on the bus. As much as the guy was weird and a little scary, he had a point.

Today, there was a guy waiting for the bus with me. When I got on the bus, I moved to a certain point, then stopped. He said excuse me, so I moved back a little then stopped again. I moved aside to let him go into the back, and he told me to move further, saying that I shouldn’t be embarrassed or nervous about it and that there’s space.

Inmates in South Carolina could soon find that a kidney is worth 180 days. Lawmakers are considering legislation that would let prisoners donate organs or bone marrow in exchange for time off their sentences.

The good thing about such a plan is that it encourages inmates to donate. Maybe they could possibly get a friendly letter from a person they saved with their donation. The Digg users had mixed opinions…some said it seemed like “vengeance”, among other things. I think it should be tried out in SC, and they should see how it goes. Maybe it will convince these inmates to give a helping hand.

But will they only give a helping hand for the sake of getting out of jail? That’s the question.

They came in and swept up all these workers, most of them women. The folks who run that plant, they’re back at work today. And I think there is something wrong with that.

And he’s right. Granted, these immigrants are illegal. But I don’t think it’s right that the owners who hired these immigrants and knew that they were illegally doing so should get off so free. I heard that the owner is only being charged $250 for the whole thing and that he has a pending court case.

Let’s use an example. If Mommy’s children act a fool, who do they blame? Mommy. So, if illegal workers get caught, who should get the blame? The ones that hired them in the first place. Heh, probably not the best example, but you get the point.
